Here's some food for thought...
As a single woman, this is what you have to put up with....
1. What's wrong with you? Why aren't you getting married?
2. When will you "settle" down?
3. Your body clock is ticking....(Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock, Tick....)
4. What???!!! You don't want children... What kind of women don't want children?
5. You must be loose...
6. Are you not marrying because of that boy you had a crush on in school?
7. You have mental problems. You must see a psychiatrist.
8. You must get married. Else you'll get breast cancer and other physical problems.
9. Who will take care of you when you're old and unwell?
10. Your parents deserve to see their "grandchildren"...how can you take it away from them...
As a single woman, I have heard every single one of them (and have
heard them so much that now when someone uses any one of these lines, I
do a frequency tab to see which of these 10 statements emerge more
statistically significant....)...
You know what they say...if life throws you lemons, make lemonade....when people throw questions at me, I make an FB post. :)
